Helen Keller, who lived near Aspetuck Corners on the border of Easton and Weston was a wonderful author and amazing person despite being blind and deaf.

As a community we strive to follow her good deeds as she said, "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much."

POSITIVE DIRECTIONS

There are a number of volunteer opportunities from which to choose, depending on your interest and availability. They include:  helping in our offices by answering phones, or assisting with mailings or database entry; volunteering at one of our fund-raising events, organizing golf and tennis at our annual We're In This Together tournament, finding prizes, selling raffle tickets; or assisting with our quarterly newsletter collecting information and writing articles.
Personal growth and the satisfaction of knowing you've made a difference are just some of the rewards of volunteering.

For more information on volunteer opportunities please call us 203 227-7644 or email info@positivedirections.org

FAMILY AND CHILDREN'S AGENCY (FCA)

There are many opportunities to get involved and help at FCA.  They need mentors, tutors, mother's helpers via the phone, visit homebound seniors, be a guest speaker, sponsor a party, activity or movie night, and many other ways to use your talents such as making things or showing clients a new skill.  There are two flyers that list all of the opportunties.  Flyer 1, Flyer 2.  You can also call FCA at 855-8765.
