Helen Keller, who lived near Aspetuck Corners on the border of Easton and Weston was a wonderful author and amazing person despite being blind and deaf.

As a community we strive to follow her good deeds as she said, "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much."

Local organizations need donations.  Below are current requests:
 

Mercy Learning Center (97% of whom are living at or below the poverty level) needs food pantry donations.  Click here for flyer that can be passed around town/churches, or to conduct a food drive.  Specific non-perishable needs include:

bags of rice

bags of dried beans

boxes of cereal

instant/dry oatmeal

pasta

jars of baby food

100% juice boxes

canned soup

 

Baby items - wipes, diapers, rash cream, Pedialyte,burp clothes

Household items - dish soap, laundry soap, sponges, towels, toiletries

 

Food donations may be dropped off at the Center, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm.

Items can be brought to WWL General Meeting on February 10th or given to Kelly Batcha

 

Mercy Learning Center is in need of gently used car seats that meet safety regulations.   They can be dropped off at the Center at 637 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, 8-5, M-F.
