Helen Keller, who lived near Aspetuck Corners on the border of Easton and Weston was a wonderful author and amazing person despite being blind and deaf.

As a community we strive to follow her good deeds as she said, "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much."

WWL Membership Renewal:  Our membership year runs from 6/1/09 - 5/31/10.  It is that time again, so please RENEW your WWL Membership today by sending your completed membership form and check in the mail.  P.O. Box 1113, Weston.  If you have any questions regarding your membership, please contact Debby Katz at debbykatz@hotmail.com or Tamar Greeley at tamargreeley@hotmail.com.  If you have already renewed your membership, thank you!

Meals on Wheels -- needs your help!   Drivers are still needed.  The route includes 7-9 stops at this time and it takes about an hour and a quarter to deliver all the meals.  If you are able to help, it would be greatly appreciated.  You can drive a single time or become a regular driver, whatever your schedule allows would be greatly appreciated.

Weston Meals on Wheels is entirely volunteer run.  It is a terrific program and provides a life-sustaining level of support to people who really need help.  If you are able to drive even one time during the next few months, your assistance keeps this program running smoothly for people whose ability to make life run smoothly for themselves has diminished.

If you know of someone who you think might be interested in helping out, please email Johanna Pfund at jp@ccnd.com with a name and a number and she will be happy to make contact.  As always, you can go directly to the Weston Meals on Wheels site (http://www.westonmealsonwheels.com) and when you click on the Schedule link, you can sign-in with your email address and sign-up directly.
